The Lab Flow Tek is a precision flow meter designed to accurately distinguish between different seed treatments by measuring the movement and flow of seed through the equipment in a seed plant. It helps identify potential issues such as bridging in hoppers and supports assessments of field plantability.

By analyzing seed flow before and after treatment—including treatments with polymer coatings—the Lab Flow Tek provides valuable insight into the effects of environmental factors like humidity, polymer rate, and time since coating. This makes it an essential tool for coating development and quality control.

The FlowTEk v2 is PLC controlled and has an integrated scale for weighing. After selecting the number of measurements required and the time of flow, the FlowTEK can run the desired number of measurements and will weigh each flow measure. This makes handling much more efficient and results more consistent. Results, collected by the PLC, are presented in a table, and the seed flow (g/sec) is automatically calculated. These results can be downloaded onto a USB drive or, when connected to the local network, directly to your computer.
